Spring signals the arrival of fresh. As I was hanging a few scraps of laundered lace on the back fence this morning, I took a moment for myself. It was a coolish morning and the sun was shining through wispy cloud filtered light. I took a deep breath, spied the new leaves on the rose bushes and was thankful again, for my opportunity to create. The day felt promising...
I'm working on a line of romantic spring dresses ... dresses that also hold a promise. A promise to allow the wearer to understand and believe in her beauty... to appreciate the tactile sensuality of natural textiles...and to create a memory on a special day.
I'll be showing the dresses at my first event of the year on Saturday, May 9th. This will be a celebration of the body...the idea of loving and caring for ourselves, and supporting and encouraging each others' personal expression. I'll be joined by four other artists/designers.
